2 1/2 years ago, Shaun & I had a little boy we named Peyton. He is a such a joy to us. When he was first born, he was such a little wiggle worm, so that became his nickname and has stuck. We try to have as much fun as possible, and we live one day at a time.

Happy Birthday America
We played, we ate, we saw fireworks....the normal 4th of July routine. Not that I am trying to be blahzay about the day. We had a lot of fun with our friends. We always do. Peyton and Jasmyn played in the pool and on the slip n' slide. We had a yummy dinner, then went to watch fireworks in Tomball. Peyton and Jasmyn were playing in the parking lot while we waited for the show to begin. Once the fireworks started, the kiddos loved them. You know how after a firework pops in the sky, you hear a "boom?" The kids started saying "BOOM" after they saw the fireworks. Afterwards, we all crashed! It was a fun, exciting day!!
Mommy's 30!!
ok, so this ost is a little late, but hey, sue me. Last Friday, July 2nd, was the BIG birthday, well so far anyway. I turned the big 3-0! Yes, I'm now 30. I don't feel 30 though. I will say it seems wierd to actually say I'm 30 though. I can no longer say I am 29 or that I am in my 20's. I am officially no longer "young." I'm not old yet, just no longer young. Quite honestly I would not go back. I am happy in my life and where I am right now. I have a beautiful family, and I love it!
Soooo, I happened to be off for my big day, so I took Peyton (along with friends, Leigh & Mathew with their kiddos, Madelyn & Tyler) to the Children's Museum. Peyton had never been before and I thought it would be fun. It was raining all day, but luckily when we got there, it let up long enough to at least get in the building. The kiddos had lots and lots of fun. We played with everything, went shopping in the grocery store, worked at a bank (and got a $20 kids bucks paycheck), ate popcorn....just had a good time. When we went to leave, it was POURING!! The brave night, Mathew, went to get the car for all of us. Thank you brave night for coming to our rescue. I tucked my camera under my shirt and we ran to the curb to get in. It took us about 2 1/2 hrs to get home (should've only taken about 45 min) because the feter roads were flooded and everyone was trying to get on the freeway. I just have to say this, too, but some people are just stupid. WHY, why, why would you take a brand new cadillac that doesn't even have plates yet down a road where you can't even see the curb and other stupid people have already managed to get their cars stalled out??!! I just don't understand some people. Anyway, we were supposed to have dinner with Mike, Lisa, & Jasmyn at 5:30 that night. Leigh kept apologizing because she thought I would be late, but we weren't. I finally get home and shortly after we leave for dinner. Little did I know, they had planned a surprise party for me at the restaurant. I walked into the front of the restaurant and looked to my right. I saw a woman who I thought looked like my Uncle's new wife (that I hadn't met yet, but have seen pic of), so I looked at her again, and said, "Bonnie?" She kind of stared at me like she didn't know who I was, so I said, "I'm Stephanie!" So I gave her a hug, being really surprised to have seen her there, but was oblivious to the thought that she might have been there for me. So, I look at Shaun and was like, "we should see if they want to put some tables together." He kept moving me along and I kept turning around to look at him. I kept talking about putting tables together, and they were like, OK, just keep moving. Anyway, so they opened the doors and I turned around from talking, and they all went, SURPRISE!! I SO wasn't expecting that!! What a fun day!!
